Gusta GIF is a free online GIF maker that runs entirely in your browser. Paste a screenshot, draw an arrow on it, duplicate the frame a couple of times and nudge things between the copies, then export a looping GIF. No account, no upload, and no watermark on the image.

How to make a GIF from a screenshot

1. Paste it. Take a screenshot and press Cmd/Ctrl+V. You can also drop an image in or open a file.
2. Draw on it. Arrows, boxes, freehand, captions, a highlight, or blur out something with the smudge tool.
3. Duplicate the frame. Whatever you just drew stays movable, so you can nudge it between frames.
4. Or use a motion preset. Slide, shake, pop or fade builds the whole run of frames for you.
5. Export. The GIF is encoded in your browser and downloads straight to your machine.

Is it free?

Yes, and there is no account. Nothing is behind a sign-in.

Does it put a watermark on my GIF?

No. Nothing is added to the picture. The file's comment block records that it was made here, which no one viewing the GIF ever sees.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The editing and the GIF encoding both happen in your browser, so your images never leave your machine. The only thing sent is an anonymous count that a session happened: no cookies, no account, no image data, and no identifier that follows you between visits.

Who is responsible for it?

Gusta GIF is run by Gustalabs, which is the controller for the little data the app handles. The Gustalabs privacy policy covers it, including your rights and how to reach us, and the Gustalabs terms apply to using it.

What size and how many frames can it handle?

Up to 1200 pixels on the longest edge. GIF file size grows quickly with dimensions and frame count, so smaller and shorter stays shareable.

Does it work on an iPad or a phone?

Yes. Touch and Apple Pencil are supported, including pressure, and the layout adapts to a narrow screen.

Can I use the GIFs commercially?

They are yours. Gusta GIF ships no clip art, stock images or fonts beyond the ones already on your device, so there is nothing of ours in your export to license.
